Project Background

The County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 37 Improvement Project is scheduled for construction in the summer of 2019 to address safety and operational concerns. Wright County has allocated Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) funding to partially fund the project. The project extends from CSAH 18, on the west end, to CSAH 19, on the east end. The Cities of Albertville and Otsego are also partners in the project as the corridor extends through both Cities and Monticello Township. The project will involve the following components:

• 2-lane section with widened 6-ft paved shoulders from east of CSAH 18 to Jansen Avenue

• 3-lane section, with two-way left turn lanes from Jansen Avenue to Kalland Drive

• Addition of right turn lanes at side streets

• Flatter side slopes in rural sections

• Roundabout at intersection of CSAH 37 and CSAH 18, to enhance safety and operations

• Signal Enhancements at intersection of CSAH 37 and CSAH 19

• Drainage enhancements

It is anticipated the project will begin Spring, 2019 and be completed Fall, 2019 (subject to change).
